• To clean the filter - be sure to first relieve pressure from your fuel system and disconnect your battery. Remove the filter, and give it a tap to remove any loose dirt and debris. Spray the filter with a fuel injector cleaner, a fuel system-safe solvent cleaner, or water. Let the filter air dry, it must be completely dry before reinstalling. Reinstall the filter into the unit, reconnect your battery, and fire up!
• Your cleaning schedule will depend on the conditions in which you ride/drive your vehicle. We recommend cleaning this filter annually to prevent excessive buildup if you frequently find yourself on dirt roads or in muddy conditions. If you stick to the highways, cleaning this filter once every 2-3 years or 20,000 miles should suffice.
